THE MAGNASCAN 645IE

The Magnascan 654IE, made by Crosfield Electronics, is a totally digital scanner under sophisticated microprocessor control that produces all four-color separations simultaneously to final printed size. This technology provides extensive color correction capabilities.

A push-button control panel, with alphanumeric display of set-up information and four channel density read-out, enables the operator to make cast, tone, color or grey balance changes on color separations.

Magnascan features:

New features with expanded capabilities:

• Polychromatic Color Removal

The PCR system takes color ink away from neutral areas and fills in with black ink. This process can save up to 30 percent of color ink production costs.

• Data Terminal Storage

This data storage function enables job values to be stored to accommodate individual press conditions. At any time, the data can be recalled for rescanning or corrections.
